Inspirations
This being human is a guest
house. Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a
meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain
them all, even if they are a crowd of sorrows, who violently
sweep your house empty of all its furniture, still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out for some new delight. The dark thought, the shame,
the malice, meet then at the door laughing, and invite them in.
Be grateful for whatever comes, because each has been sent as
a guide from beyond.
Rumi
But the secret of life
is:
If you bring your unconsciousness into the light,
those hidden secrets which are functioning like wounds,
like burdens that are heavy on you, evaporate.
Osho

There
is a madman inside of you
Who is always running for office - Why vote him in?
He never keeps the accounts straight.
He gets all kinds of crooked deals happening all over town
That will just give you a big headache and glue to your kisser
A gigantic confused frown.
Hafiz
I know what hurts
and what doesn't.
Byron Katie

Self-betrayal
is betraying your true self by serving the false self. The
false self calls itself "myself," but it is based
in ignorance, fear, and greed. As long as you are serving the
egoic selfishness, you are betraying the pure loving intelligence
that is the true heart. As long as you are following thoughts
instead of love, as long as you believe the voices in your
head instead of the clarity of open emptiness, you are betraying
yourself.
Gangaji

If you bring forth what is inside you, what
you bring forth will save you.
If you do not bring forth what is inside you, what is inside
you will destroy you.
Saint Thomas, Gnostic Gospels

Blame keeps the sad game going.
It keeps stealing all your wealth.
Giving it to an imbecile with no financial skills.
Dear one, Wise Up.
When the violin can forgive the past It starts singing.
When the violin can stop worrying about the future
You will become such a drunk laughing nuisance
That God will then lean down and start combing you into His hair.
When the violin can forgive every wound caused by others
The heart starts singing.
Hafiz

Enlightenment, joy, and peace can never be given
to you by another
The well is inside you.
Thich Nhat Hahn

Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win
glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to
take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer
much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither
victory nor defeat.
